The Little Girl In You

Whoever invented cosmetics, was a genius. The first tube of lipstick, first bottle of perfumes; all genius inventions. There are so many items out there at our disposal nowadays. There is every type and color of any makeup we can possibly imagine.


Cosmetics and perfume have been around a really long time. The ancient era enjoyed their daily dose of makeup; as well as every era until now. Of course, back then they did not know the proper way to make things, so their makeup was sometimes poisonous. There was a not so commonly known story, about a queen who applied so many layers of this poisonous makeup to her face every day that she eventually died because of it.

Good thing we live in the advanced era that we do. With the proper scientific research we now have cosmetics that are not bad for us, and that are actually good for us as well. It is hard to find a cover-up or concealer that does not have some sort of SPF in there; or a lip gloss that does not moisturize as well as shine. We have made leaps and bounds in the world of cosmetics, and it is a good thing at that; as it is one of the biggest in demand through out the world.

Women worldwide religiously apply their perfume and cosmetics; and stores world wide sell them. You can find cosmetics in plenty of malls and department stores, as well as pharmacies and convenience stores. There is never a lack of places to buy your stash.



It is a smart world we live in. They understand the want and need for cosmetics, so they supply it. What is it about makeup that drives women wild? It is something ingrained as well as nurtured. It is something we were born with but learned to want as well.





We all watched our mothers and older sisters as they applied their makeup in the bathroom mirror. We all gazed in open admiration, waiting for the day when it would be our turn; dreaming is more like it. We have all taken the blush brush along with our mothers and pretended we too were putting on. Sometimes your mother would even let you dap on a little of her lipstick or perfume, and then you would feel so proud. Then, there were times when she was in the kitchen and you just could not contain your urges; and you would run up and

lock yourself in her bathroom and apply globs of makeup to your little innocent face.





Given you have matured since then, and you are now applying a lot less than you would have back then, you are still that little girl who wants her face painted all beautiful with all sorts of different cosmetics. So go ahead, paint your face with your cosmetics. There is no lack of options out there. Pick all your favorite colors and shades. Apply your makeup with that little girl in you cheering you on; albeit staying in the lines this time.
